In most cases a referral with an x-ray from your dentist is required.  Your initial consultation will consist of a clinical and radiographic (x-rays) examination, to explain your diagnosis and treatment options. If you have been scheduled for root canal treatment as well, treatment can proceed at that time. 

However, a complex medical history or treatment plan may require a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.
